]]>1) The borders of Uruguay are closed to all Uruguayans from December 21 of 2020 to January 30 of 2021, except for those who had obtained their tickets before January 6 of 2021.
Uruguayans traveling to Uruguay must follow the instructions and procedure available at https://www.gub.uy/tramites/ingreso-pais-uruguayos-durante-suspension-fronteras
2) The borders continue to be closed for foreign citizens and online requests for exceptional entry authorization are suspended until further notice. Those who already had prior authorization, remains valid.
3) The Consulates of Uruguay can no longer extend Certificates of impossibility of presenting a Covid-19 PCR test within the 72-hour period prior to starting the trip to Uruguay. Therefore, it is responsibility of the travelers to comply with this requirement in a timely manner.
